Toshiba announced two new models of 2.5-inch HDD is designed for operation 24 hours nonstop on a computer, industrial, and other extreme environments. Latest model, 100GB MK1060GSCX with SATA interface, and MK8050GACY 80GB PATA interface, offering reliability and great performance for temperature, altitude, and range of vibration, making it as an excellent choice for use in industrial equipment, such as ATM, digital surveillance, factory automation, and PCs continue to work.
Designed for long operating time, and MK8050GACY MK1060GSCX features the "case temperature" with a range of -15 to +70 degrees Celsius, which is a wide temperature range for power on the HDD 24 x 7. The second drive also has a range of operating at altitudes and more resistant to vibration, when compared with the standard HDD model.
Toshiba guarantees that the two products are in compliance with the Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment (RoHS). Both products will be mass produced in December 2010.
